Rainy Day Blues

Today has been a very blue kind of day.

Why is it that rain can totally change your mood?

I do not mind rain in the summer when the sun is shining , & we get just enough rain to water the flowers & grass & cools us off from the scorching Georgia heat, but on a deary winter day, rain just makes everything blue. It does not help that we are missing Tommy tonight (he has an out of town meeting tomorrow). I have been looking for ways to make our house cheery today & hoping that the rain has come & gone.

Enough about rainy day blues, the reason for my post was to share pictures from our weekend getaway. If you read my blog often you know that we are always on the go, go, go! 🙂 The past weekend was no exception. We left on Thursday & spent a relaxing long weekend in a cabin in the snowy Tennessee mountians. Here are the highlights from our trip. We enjoyed the catching up with Joe & Neely & playing cards till the wee hours of the night.

WooHOO!

I am happy to say that this morning I am 20 lbs lighter than I was in June! 🙂 It feels like a really slow process but everyone says that when you take it off slow it will stay off. I hope really hope so. I have worked super hard &  hope to be another 20lbs lighter this June.

We must be rubbing off on Annabelle these were taken last night. We both got a big kick out of them.

Today is my mom’s birthday.

I am not going to share how old she is, she might not like that. She is a wonderful mom & Grandma. Can’t wait to see you in a few days mom!

A Rainy Day Suprise

I love checking the mail especially to when there are no bills! Today we got a nice suprise package in our mail box,

Happy New Year!!!

Hope this post finds everyone happy & healthy, with a great start to the new year. I personally can not believe that it is 2010 2011. why is it always so hard to write/type the new year?!

In our house we are ready to start 2011 with a new attitude & clean closets. If it doesn’t fit or we have not worn it in 6 months, it is gone. (to Goodwill of course)

Tommy put in his car & delivered to the Goodwill drop box at Wally World. I wish I would have gotten a picture of all these clothes loaded in the back seat. I am sure he looked like a well dressed person or hoarder living in his car. LOL

Out with the old in with the new…..Happy New Year!!!!
